Double-Ended (Tubular) Heating Tubes

Double-Ended Tubular Heating Tubes: The Industry Standard for Versatility

Double-ended tubular heating elements are the most fundamental and versatile heating solution in the industry. Characterized by having electrical terminals at both ends of the tube, these heaters allow for maximum flexibility in forming and installation. They consist of a precision-coiled resistance wire (NiCr) centered in a metal sheath, insulated by high-purity, compacted Magnesium Oxide (MgO). This “double-ended” design is the core component used in everything from simple air heating to complex immersion systems.
From SUS304 to Incoloy, we select the material based on your specific liquid (water/oil/acid). We support small-batch prototyping for new equipment manufacturers.
Technical Specifications Range / Typical Values
Voltage Range 110V / 220V / 380V
Power Range 100W – 15kW
Resistance Range 10Ω – 800Ω
Current Range 1A – 40A
Surface Load Liquid: 6–12W/cm2 / Air: 2–4W/cm2

Infinite Formability: These tubes can be factory-bent into virtually any shape—circular, “U” shape, “W” shape, or complex 3D serpentine patterns—to fit the specific geometry of your equipment or tank.

Uniform Heat Profile: Because the resistance wire runs the entire length of the tube between the two terminals, these elements provide exceptionally consistent heat output along the heated length.

Robust Mechanical Strength: The compaction process creates a rock-solid internal structure, making these heaters highly resistant to mechanical shock and vibration.

Dual-Terminal Wiring: Having terminals at both ends simplifies wiring in certain applications, such as large ovens or duct systems, where electrical connections are required on both sides of a chamber.

Feature Industrial Grade High-Temperature Grade
Sheath Materials Copper, Steel, 304/316 SS Incoloy® 800/840, Inconel®
Standard Diameters 6.5mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12.5mm, 16mm Custom diameters available

Termination Styles Threaded Stud, Spade, Lead Wire Ceramic-to-Metal Hermetic

Immersion Heating: When bent into a “U” shape and welded to a flange or screw plug, they heat water, oils, and chemical baths.

Radiant Heating: Used in industrial “salamander” heaters, shrink tunnels, and comfort heating for outdoor spaces.

Mold & Platen Heating: Formed and pressed into grooves in metal plates or “cast-in” to aluminum or bronze blocks.

Food Service Equipment: Used in deep fryers, steam tables, and commercial ovens.

Process Air Heating: Arranged in banks for use in duct heaters and forced-air drying systems.

Precision Industrial Heating Elements: Engineered for Your Exact Needs

At Runkel, we don’t just manufacture heating tubes; we provide thermal solutions. Our core strength lies in our unmatched customization capabilities.

Whether you are a researcher needing 1–2 prototype samples for a new project, or a maintenance manager looking to replace a discontinued or aging heating element in your existing machinery, we deliver perfect-fit solutions with no minimum order hurdles.

Why Choose Us? — The Customization Specialist

“From 1 unit to 1,000—we treat every prototype with production-grade precision.”

  1. Zero Minimum Order Quantity (No MOQ)——Most factories turn away small orders. We embrace them. If you need a single tube for a performance test or a rare replacement, we are your dedicated partner.
  2. Perfect Replacement & Retrofitting——Is your old equipment failing because the original parts are no longer available? Send us your drawings, photos, or the physical old part. We will reverse-engineer a 1:1 precision replacement that fits your existing mounting holes and electrical specs perfectly.
  3. Bespoke Engineering Specs——Materials: SUS304, 316L, 310S (High Temp), Incoloy, Titanium, and more.——Dimensions: Diameters from 3mm to 25mm+, custom lengths, and complex bending.Electrical: Optimized for your specific voltage (12V to 480V) and wattage requirements.

How We Work

  1. Engineering Review: Our team verifies the power density and material compatibility for your application.

  2. Agile Production: Your custom order enters our flexible production line immediately.

  3. Quality Assurance: Every unit undergoes rigorous insulation and leakage current testing before shipping.
